Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Bring Dem Things. By Songfacts®.

This track finds French Montana getting autobiographical as he reflects on his days as a hustler on the Bronx streets. Pharrell Williams also raps a verse while The Kid Daytona, a young rapper from Atlanta, contributes the chorus.

The late-'80s-styled production comes courtesy of Harry Fraud, who has previously worked with the Bronx rapper on songs like "So High" and "Shot Caller." The Brooklyn beatmaker is a regular collaborator with Action Bronson and also worked with The Weeknd on his Kiss Land track "Professional."

The track borrows its shrieking horn instrumental from Organized Konfusion's 1994 song "Stress," which itself sampled jazz bassist Charles Mingus' "Mingus Fingus No. 2."
