This song features American rapper Nicki Minaj, marking the second direct collaboration between the pair following Future's "Rock Star." The duo have also appeared on numerous songs together as featured artists including three separate DJ Khaled's tracks "I Can't Even Lie," "I Wanna Be With You" and "Do You Mind" as well as Rich Gang's "Tapout."
"You Da Baddest" was written by Future and Minaj along with Young Money Cash Money Billionaires in house producer Detail and Andre Price. The track was produced by Detail and Go Grizzly, the latter also being a frequent Kevin Gates collaborator.
The song was released on July 28, 2017. It was added as a bonus track to Future's sixth studio album, HNDRXX, which was originally dropped in February 2017.
