Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about No Shopping (feat. Drake). By Songfacts®.

The third single dropped by French Montana from his MC4 album finds him boasting about his luxurious lifestyle over Noah "40" Shebib and Murda Beatz's pounding, bass-heavy beat. However the rapper warns his girl that they won't be splashing out on expensive fur coats as it's "all about the mula."

French Montana recruited Drake to spit the second verse. It is the third collaboration between the Coke Boy leader and the Toronto rhymer following "Pop That" and Rick Ross' "Stay Schemin'."

Drake aims his rhymes at rap rival Joe Budden, calling him a "one-hit wonder." Pump, pump, pump it up She got a good head on her, but I pump it up I'm not a one hit wonder, they know all my stuff You let me turn into the ni--a that you almost was. Joe Budden had a Top 40 hit with "Pump it Up" in 2003, which Drake interpolates here, but his commercial career stagnated thereafter. Budden's beef with Drizzy began in May 2016 after he dissed the Toronto MC's Views album, saying that he sounded "real f---in' uninspired." After Drake responded with some subliminal references in "4AM in Calabasas," Budden released diss tracks "Making a Murderer Pt. 1" and "Wake."
